“The Morning of Frost” Songs

In the finished versions, we’ll hear a woman's voice for Now Close the Windows, inspired by the idea that this poem is sung by Mother Nature. The audience can also imagine it is Becket’s mother.

The boy, Becket, will sing The Dust of Snow as his dream takes a turn for the better. Nothing Gold Can Stay will be sung by the narrator, who is the boy revisiting his childhood place of contemplation. The Road Not Taken will be sung by young Becket as he decides to choose a road, and not fall into apathy

In the middle section of each song, the orchestra plays melodies and the stage comes alive with animated style. These middle sections will be extended and allow more time to develop the complexity of the set design and choreography.
